I had known Wendy Hunt for sometime and had always loved her work. I had watched her build the clay models that her beautiful sculptures would be cast from and marvelled at her ability to capture the character/expression of the animal or bird she was sculpting, and the exquisite detail in the finished pieces.

 

However, it was a large and fairly simple sculpture of a Black Grouse that finally captured my heart. Wendy has really got the stance and arrogance of the bird. From the first time I saw him on show I wanted him and I am so glad I did purchase him.

 

Wendy very kindly delivered him to me, very quickly after purchase.

The sculpture has pride of place in our sitting room and has been much admired/coveted.
