Wendy grew up in the south of England where she spent many hours of her formative years exploring the shores of the Solent, thus furthering her early love of nature and wildlife.
Wendy is that rare combination of both painter and sculptor, using a variety of media to create highly detailed original art works. Although a self-taught 2D artist, she was tutored in sculpture by the renowned sculptor Margot Dent.
She has exhibited at Christies, London, as part of an international sale raising funds for the World Wildlife Fund. Her paintings have been purchased by The Medici Society and Royale Publications. Wendy’s sculpture ‘Hares in Snow’ was sold at Christies, London, in their 2007 ‘Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs’ auction and ‘Ghost Hunter’ and 'Fox Trot' were also sold at Bonhams, Edinburgh, in their 2012 ‘Sporting’ auctions.
Wendy’s work is exhibited in galleries in Hampshire and York. Her work has been shown throughout the United Kingdom including London, as well as being held in private collections, both nationally and internationally. Wendy exhibits regularly at the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art (NEWA) and will be taking part in their Art Market in 2013, in Liverpool, and is a committee member for the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society (MIWAS), with whom she exhibits at their annual summer exhibition, Wendy has also exhibited at the Society of Women Artists, London. For the past three years, she has been artist in residence at Nature in Art, Gloucester, demonstrating the art of sculpture and she will be returning for a forth time in 2013.
